Meet Peaches: A Rising Nail Tech Star
Hello everyone! My name is Peaches, and I am a licensed nail technician based in the heart of the beauty industry. At 27, I’ve spent nearly four years mastering my skills and fostering a strong clientele. My journey began in June 2019 when I got my license and worked in a bustling nail salon. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit in March 2020, I faced a daunting challenge of losing all my clients.
Little did I know, this situation opened doors for me to establish my own nail business by renting a suite. The pandemic didn’t stop my passion; it ignited it! Now, I am proud to do nails full-time while also creating engaging content on YouTube. My channel is dedicated to nail health and features various tutorials, including my experiences teaching a three-hour nail class at the 2022 Nailpro Nail Show!
Four Inspirations Behind My Nail Art
As a nail artist, inspiration flows through everything I see and experience. Here are four critical sources of inspiration that shape my creative process:
1. Trends: A Unique Take
While I draw some inspiration from social media trends, I strive to maintain my unique artistic voice. Many nail techs aim to replicate trending designs, but I take a different approach. I observe the trends I admire and then challenge myself to incorporate them into my work in a way that feels authentic to me. This practice results in nail sets that reflect both current styles and my personal flair.
2. Nature and Geometry: Finding Beauty in the World
Nature serves as one of my primary sources of inspiration. My artistic journey started in my childhood, where I learned to see the beauty in shapes, colors, and patterns around me. I find that fluidity in nature translates into my designs, especially through swirls and geometric patterns. The interplay between natural aesthetics and structured designs creates a contrast that excites me and engages my clients.
3. Nail Health: The Foundation of Great Art
Nail educators and the concept of nail health play a vital role in my artistry. I believe that beauty starts with healthy nails—after all, you can’t have fantastic nail art on weak, unhealthy nails. This belief fuels my desire to educate my clients and promote healthy nail practices. The joy that comes from seeing transformed nails keeps me focused and motivated to provide the best service possible.
4. Client and Personal Style: A Creative Collaboration
Finally, I draw immense inspiration from my clients. Their personal styles and unique tastes challenge me to explore new avenues in my work. I adore the collaborative process of merging their preferences with my artistic ideas. When clients recognize my style within their custom nail sets, it creates a fulfilling sense of connection that inspires more creativity in my future designs.
