As the leaves change color and the temperature drops, it’s the perfect time to embrace fall-inspired nail art. Yessica Alfaro, a talented nail artist, showcases a unique tutorial for creating stunning fall matte nails that capture the essence of the season through warm tones and cozy vibes. In this article, we’ll guide you through the process step-by-step, and share the products needed to achieve this fabulous look.
This fall matte nail design draws inspiration from earthy tones and the comforting aesthetics of autumn. Think warm neutrals, rich browns, and playful patterns reminiscent of cozy sweaters. Yessica wanted to encapsulate these elements, adding a hint of glam to make the design pop. Let’s dive into how you can recreate this beautiful look.
Begin by prepping your nails for acrylic application. Proper preparation is key to achieving a beautiful and long-lasting design.
Start off by applying your favorite nude base. Yessica recommends using the VBeauty Pure nude cover acrylic as your foundation. After application, file and shape your nails for a clean canvas.
Next, apply a thin layer of gel base coat (cre8tion base coat is a favorite) on each nail. This creates a smooth surface for your design. Cure under a UV/LED lamp for 30 seconds.
Using a 20mm liner brush, create your French tip with a light brown shade (#133 from VBeautyPure). Apply two layers, curing each for 30 seconds.
With the same liner brush, use vertical lines to enhance your French tip. Angle the small lines for a playful look using #138 from VBP, and remember to cure each layer for 30 seconds. Then, go in with your contrasting colors—black (#048 VBP), white (#045 VBP), and dark brown (#138 VBP), curing for 15 seconds between each application.
Continue your design on other nails using diagonal lines, stripes, and curves for added depth. Cure for 15 seconds between each new line added.
Once your design is complete, apply VBP Matte Top Coat and cure for 30 seconds to seal your artwork.
For a sweater-like effect, create criss-cross lines with the liner brush and immediately pour clear acrylic powder over the wet design to achieve a raised texture. Cure once set for 30 seconds and brush off any excess powder.
For the ombre effect, fill your airbrush with your chosen brown color (Copy Cat by Luxa). Dilute with nail polish thinner and test the spray on a paper. Hold the airbrush 6-8 inches away from your nails and start lightly spraying from the tip towards the base.
Apply the color in light layers to gradually build up the effect, allowing it to cure for 30 seconds in between.
To add glam, apply your rhinestone design using Makartt glue. Cure as instructed, and finish with one last layer of matte topcoat to seal everything in place.
With this detailed tutorial, you can bring the warmth and beauty of fall to your nails with matte designs that reflect the season’s spirit. Whether you’re a nail art beginner or an experienced artist, this guide equips you with the techniques and creativity to create stunning fall matte nails. Embrace the season and let your nails shine!
